The federal government was preparing on Wednesday to send numerous of law enforcement personnel to the northern California for a large-scale border security initiative, prompting outrage from California leaders.

The operation comes after months of warnings by Donald Trump to focus on the progressive municipality. Governor Gavin Newsom condemned the move, labeling it “right out of the dictator’s handbook”.

“He sends out covered agents, he dispatches customs officers, he sends out federal agents, he generates worry and terror in the neighborhood so that he can claim credit for solving that by deploying the military forces,” the governor stated. “This is exactly like the arsonist extinguishing the fire.”

City Preparation
