Charli XCX Plays a Twisted Persona of Herself in Mockumentary Preview
The Grammy-winning artist is getting ready for a substantial big screen onslaught in 2026, beginning with the satirical film titled The Moment.
Throughout the movie, she embodies what she describes as a hell version of herself.
It’s the realest depiction of the music business that I’ve ever seen, the star stated.
She clarified in an interview: This isn’t a concert film, however the inspiration originated from the demand to produce one.
An Early Look into The Film
The first teaser, unveiled on recently, combines real clips from Charli’s Sweat tour with imagined off-stage interactions.
The mockumentary is directed and co-written by Aidan Zamiri, who revealed that the narrative focuses on a scenario where the artist opted for alternate decisions throughout the promotion of her smash hit album Brat.

A Packed Movie Lineup
The mockumentary is a single one of numerous forthcoming movie projects for the musician, who has starred in three festival films this year.

Furthermore took on her own role in the comedy series Overcompensating.
Future Ventures
The following year will also include the star alongside Olivia Wilde in sensual story I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in creative industry mystery The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in scary reboot Faces of Death.
She recently signed on to appear in the star’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.

Soundtrack Involvement
Next February will also include the launch of the filmmaker’s interpretation of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase new music from the artist.
Additionally, she will create the soundtrack for the story Mother Mary, with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch soon.
The mockumentary is scheduled to debut on the 30th of January.
